TAÏ DAM _{ACROSS THE MEKONG}

Marijah is now a renowned artist and looks to trace back to her Vietnamese roots. Her journey will bring to light the influence they had on her work.
Marijah knows little about her family and her background; only that she came to France in 1976, in the wake of the tragic events of the Vietnam War. She sets off on a journey across the Mekong with her partner, Joël, who is
directing an illustrated documentary on their expedition to meet the Taï Dam, a South-East Asian ethnic group. Marijah and Joël go through Thailand, Vietnam and Laos and tell an overlooked portion of the French colonial history. The pair also shares the intimacy of artistic creation: beyond the discovery of a culture, this is also the story of the major impact that meeting our people can have on our art.
